What is a Birth Doula? 

A birth doula is person professionally trained to provide guidance and support to pregnant woman during labor, delivery, and postpartum period.

What does Nishatu mean?

Nishatu is not only a name, but an Energy, A persona. That means "Powerful Woman " in the Swahili language.

I carry this name in birth work to remind myself who I am and to remind the women I work with who they are.
